Tassie

This is only a quick update of the trip as we know a few people are keeping an eye on it. Hope you enjoy.

Well we made it to Melbourne to catch the ferry the Spirit Of Tasmania for our holiday. The kids were excited. We had 2 cabins to sleep in, the boys and the girls as we had an overnight trip. We had dinner on board and settled down for the night after an explore of the ship.
At the camp ground at Macquarie Heads. Which is the entrance of Macquarie Harbour known as Hells Gates. We spent 2 nights here and did the Gordon River Cruise from here which took us out to Hells Gates we now know why it has this name.
As you can see it was really windy and it was hard to stand against the wind, which was blowing 40 knots and we were travelling at 20 knots into it, so we now know what 60 knots would feel like not nice. The boys decided to see who could handle the cold windy conditions the longest, they lasted about 30 minutes it was a draw in the end with a mild case of hypothermia.
This was the beginning of the Gordon River cruise which was a really great trip with a stop over in world heritage area and Sarah Island to see the ruins of the convicts a great day.
Kathleen is looking a bit overwhelmed at where to start at the Salamanca Markets in Hobart.
Amy having fun in the freezing cold water at Adventure Bay on Bruny Island. We spent a few hours exploring the Island before catching the ferry back to the mainland.
